Luminess Air Review- Is it Makeup Perfection?

Who has had their makeup done using an airbrush tool? Well I have, a few years ago as a bridesmaid in one of my best friend's wedding. I absolutely loved it and always wondered how and where I could get my own airbrush tool. Today I have the answer! Luminess Air is changing the way we apply our makeup. The Luminess Air kit comes with the air brush console ( I was shocked how small it is), the airbrush stylo and a few containers of makeup to use with the Luminess Air kit.

There are so many choices in makeup that you can use with your Luminess Air. These are all lightweight formulas that definitely need to be shaken before using. Once the product is shaken it is ready to use!

To use the Luminess Air plug it in and turn it on! Then add a few drops of your product into the top of the airbrush stylo.

 You can see the top of the airbrush stylo here, and you will also notice a small lever button that moves forward and back. This little lever button controls the stream of the product that comes out of the airbrush stylo. When you push the lever button you want to hold it almost centered to get the most even stream out of your airbrush stylo. 

When you choose your makeup shade I recommend choosing a shade lighter than you think you need. I did find that the two shades I chose were a bit dark for my skin but looked perfect on my laptop screen. Choose carefully. The makeup goes on very thin as the formula is water based and you only need a few drops, and you can build up your foundation by adding more product as necessary. 

Here is my finished airbrush face, I am wearing the Luminess Air shade 3 and I used the blush that came with the kit. I love that the kit included blush, highlighter, and primer. You can see that the shade is a bit too dark on my skin but it does look lovely. I have an even tone and all I had to do was fill in my eyebrows. The entire Luminess Air process took me less than five minutes for a great everyday easy look. The makeup feels so light on my skin and it has been a great experience testing this product out! Little White Dress

This summer I have been very drawn to white, which isn't like me since I am definitely clumsy and tend to get a gorgeous white piece of clothing dirty. I found this gorgeous white dress at Aritzia and immediately fell in love with it's charming peasant style. This dress came with a cute white belt but I always like to personalize by adding my own, so this rose gold belt worked perfect to give this dress a bit of sparkle. Do you have a fave summer dress? Try This Tuesday- Honey Bronze by The Body Shop

For this week's Try This Tuesday I am letting you all in on how I get a great bronze glow. I always wear sunscreen when I am outside so for me getting the 'glow' has to come from a few great products. I have tried many bronzers, and self tanners but today I finally found my go-to product and best part is -  it's at The Body Shop! I know many of you are loyal fans of The Body Shop but if you consistently walk past the store without going in, I hope you change your mind! The honey bronze line offers some great options to help you get your 'tan' on.

The Honey Bronze leg mist is a fantastic product that can be used on your arms as well. It is a gel based leg mist that sprays on your legs almost in blotches. Once the mist is on your legs you then blend evenly in a straight up and down motion. The great thing about this product is you can build it up to create the 'tan' you want. 

I have been really enjoying this product and I am using it daily, it washes off in the shower, and once it is dry on your legs (takes a minute) it doesn't transfer onto clothes or material. You can see from the picture above that my legs are looking lovely and bronzey!

Also in the Honey Bronze line is tinted face gel and a few highlighting domes. The tinted face gel functions very similar to leg mist. The gel leaves an amazing glow on your face, and I like to use it as a bronzer after I have my foundation on.

These little highlighting domes are like magic bronze for your face! These are a cream based product that comes in three shades, a light shimmer, a rosey shimmer, and the traditional bronze shade. I adore these, I have been using the rose coloured one everyday on my cheek bones before I leave the house. These highlighting domes have just the right amount of shimmer and with these gorgeous shades I know you will fall in love with one!.

Monday Musings- Legit!

Happy Monday! I can't believe it's already the last week in July, summer seriously needs to slow down. Today we are getting 'legit' with this graphic tee by Idieh Shop. SkinnyMint- It's Tea Time!

It's Tea Time Today! If you follow along on Instagram you know I have been trying out the SkinnyMint tea tox. There are many different tea toxes on the market these days as this is quickly becoming a new trend in weight loss. SkinnyMint is a twenty eight day tea tox and includes a morning tea and evening tea. So did I lose weight? I know that's what you all want to know, read on to find out.

The morning boost is a lovely fruity tea blend which I quite enjoyed. I had the morning boost each morning and I did notice that my appetite was suppressed and I had more energy. Many of you have asked me about the taste of tea, the morning boost is great!

The other part of the tea tox is to use the evening cleanse tea every other evening (so fourteen times). The taste of this tea is more minty and it did take me some time to get used to. I found that if I didn't let the tea steep too long the taste was perfect. The evening cleanse helps digestion and to get things 'moving down there' if you know what I mean. This cleanse definitely worked, but didn't leave me 'running' to the bathroom. I can honestly tell you that I liked the evening cleanse because it left me less bloated and took away that 'heavy' feeling.

So, did I lose weight? YES! Five pounds! I admit I wasn't being super strict with my food intake but SkinnyMint does work! Try This Tuesday- Murad Skincare

It is my great pleasure today to share an amazing skincare secret, Murad Canada is changing the skincare game one product at a time. Dr. Murad is considered a visionary by creating nineteen patents that will get your skin glowing from the inside out. I am so excited to share the products that I have been using for the last two weeks that have rejuvenated my skin.

The Intensive Vitamin C Peel works to diminish hyper-pigmentation, sun spots, while brightening the skin. This product is applied in a thin layer and stays on the skin for ten to fifteen minutes. I love this product, it does tingle a little but the formula goes on smooth and is very light on the skin. I admit I like to leave this on for around twenty minutes so that the peel has time to do it's job. My skin is definitely brighter and I know with continued use the redness in my skin will decrease even more than it already has.

The Murad Canada daily moisturizer with SPF is definitely my fave product. I was SHOCKED by how light the formula is. Most of the moisturizers with SPF are very heavy and go on greasy-like. The Murad moisturizer goes on smooth, is non-greasy, and best part, the SPF sunscreen smell is very minimal (you know what that smell is). This is a must-have in your skincare routine.

The exfoliating cleanser has been a pleasant surprise. The formula is grainy as you would expect an exfoliator to be, but this one doesn't leave my skin dry after using. I use it twice a week, as I find using an exfoliator daily tends to be too harsh on my skin. It massages into the skin easily and will leave your skin feeling cleansed. 

This Advanced Active Radiance Serum is now part of my daily routine. As a woman in her thirties I have found serums to be beneficial to my skin to help fight the signs of aging (as long as it's the right one). After two days of using this serum my skin looked refreshed, smooth, and bright (like I had slept a straight eight hours, as a mom you know that never happens). I tend to use this serum as a moisturizer due to the humidity in the air. To all you ladies out there, GET THIS!

The last Murad Canada I was able to try is the Intensive Wrinkle Reducer for Eyes. This is a thicker formula and I admit I need to remind myself to put this on at night time, as I am not used to using eye cream. I have noticed that the darkness under my eyes is decreasing due to using this product regularly. I am lucky to not have a lot of eye wrinkles yet, BUT that doesn't mean I won't use this product. I want to combat the signs of aging before they happen.
