Try This Tuesday-Full and Plush Hair with Garnier

It is not secret that as we get older our hair changes, we women go through so much, that can affect our hair. Stress, pregnancy, post-pregnancy, hormonal changes and environmental effects all play a role in changing our hair. Over the last few years (post-pregnancy) my hair has been a bit of a train wreck. My hair's fine texture started to become finer and even a little thinner (tear), so finding a great hair product that makes my hair appear fuller has been hard. Garnier Canada recently sent me the Full and Plush Hair line to try out. Full and Plush claims to build hair mass while adding a plush softness. The Full and Plush hair products work by penetrating each hair strand to add volume, while nourishing and strengthening hair by adding softness. The product line has completely surprised me and, I have loved my results.

You can see in these pictures that my hair has bounce, and overall 'life' to it. Normally my fine hair looks stringy and lack luster, but using the Full and Plush has greatly improved my hair's overall feel and look.

The Full and Plush products that I have been using are, the fortifying shampoo, and conditioner, as well as, the Full and Plush Voluptuous Blow Out. I made a few minor adjustments to my blow dry technique (trust me you can do it too), and the results have been fantastic.
The Full and Plush shampoo comes in pink bottle (it's hard to miss at your local drugstore). The smell is lovely and a little goes  a LONG way, so start with a small amount of shampoo and add as necessary. My hair feels like it has got a great clean, and my shampoo lasts me about 2-3 days.
The Full and Plush conditioner comes in a matching package, and also has a lovely smell. This conditioner does a great job by leaving my hair smooth and easy to comb through after being washed, while still wet.
The final product I tried was the Full and Plush Volupuous Blow Dry Treatment (shown in an above picture). This product is used on damp towel dried hair,  and you apply the Blow Dry treatment at the roots and then comb it through to the ends of your hair. The Blow Dry treatment is a gel based product, and I found that I had the best results when I used a dime sized amount. Be careful not to use too much of this product because your hair may feel a bit 'crunchy' and your blow out will not be nearly as nice.

So now, I know you all want to know what I did to change up my blow dry technique, and it's super easy. I applied the Full and Plush Voluptuous Blow Dry Treatment to my hair and then started drying it from the roots. I use my favourite brush and make sure that I am applying heat directly to my roots first, and the results I have noticed have been amazing. My hair really does look fuller! These products are a great buy for around ten dollars each (yes, that's correct $10). I would love to know your thoughts on this line, so leave a comment and let me know.

A Quo Holiday

Who doesn't love a great find at their local drug store? A surprising brand that offers a wide range of high quality makeup and beauty products can be found at Shoppers Drug Mart- the Quo Brand.  Quo is an in-house brand offered exclusively at Shoppers Drug Mart and every Holiday season Quo releases everything from makeup kits, to stocking stuffers, and even makeup filled Christmas crackers. Today I am going to share four of the Quo holiday kits with you.

First up is the Eye Focus kit which comes with four eye shadows, two cream based eye shadows and a black thin felt tipped eye liner. The four powder based eye shadows are in neutral tones ranging from beige to dark grey. I adore these shadows, there is just the right amount of pigment, and the colours blend easily and will look lovely against any skin tone.
The eye liner included in this kit is perfect for creating a cat eye wing. The felt tip is very thin, making it easy to guide the liner exactly where you want it to go. This kit is a great buy for $30.

The Contouring Craze Deluxe Contour Kit (shown below) comes with two brushes, two contour shades and a highlighter shade.  Both of the contour shades are lovely and blend nicely on the skin. My favourite part of this kit is the highlighter, it's a lovely shade that doesn't add shimmer to the skin, but rather illuminates. As a girl who has larger pores, highlighters are tricky for me because if there is too much shimmer in the product my pores will look instantly larger. This contour kit retails for $30.

The Quo by Orly Perfectly Painted 12 Piece Nail Polish set contains twelve different nail polishes, from nudes to neons, and darks to metallics. This set comes in the cutest tin-can inspired shape, and would make a great stocking stuff or you can split apart the set and add a cute polish in with a gift. This set retails for $30.

Lastly, the Lips All Around kit contains seven mini lip glosses in the perfect holiday shades. Berry shades, and nude shades dominate this kit and these colours would look great with any outfit. The size of each gloss makes them the perfect fit for your evening bag. This kit retails for $25.

Which one of the Quo kits will you pick up?

Best Beauty Stocking Stuffers

Hello Gorgeous!!

Here comes the first of the holiday gift guides and this one might be my favourite, the best beauty stocking stuffers. Stockings in my house are a necessity and it is so much fun searching for the best products to add into my loved ones stockings. Today, I have put together the best beauty products that can easily all fit into one stocking.

First up is the Dry Bar Detox Dry Shampoo. This product works miracles on my hair and when  I am not in the 'washing' mood this dry shampoo instantly brings my hair back to life. Just by spraying a little on my hair, rubbing it in with my fingers, and wiping off the excess product my hair looks instantly refreshed and shampoo-ed. Oh, and Dry Bar's dry shampoo also comes in a handy travel size, as well as, a full size bottle.
Dermologica is a line I have been recently introduced to, and have been obsessed with it ever since. The daily microexfoliant is a powder base that you have to mix with water to create a thick or thin paste depending on your preference. This product does a great job at cleansing skin so that it looks polished and refreshed. This daily exfoliant has changed the skincare game for me this year.

Benefit Cosmetics Air Patrol is an eye lid primer, and this product has become a staple in my morning makeup routine. This primer goes on like a cream, and  can be worn alone if you are wanting to add some brightness to your eyelids with. If you are wearing Air Patrol with eye shadow the results are astonishing. Air Patrol enhances your eye shadow colours by instantly making them more pigmented and vivid. Any beauty lover would be thrilled to receive this product, once your loved one tries it, they will be obsessed with the results.
Essence has been my fave budget-friendly line of the year. With all products under ten dollars you can't make a bad purchase. My must have from the Essence line is the Princess False Lash Mascara. This mascara plumps and curls lashes making your lashes appear longer and fuller, and for five dollars this is totally a must buy.
For the hair lover, Bumble and Bumble Hair Prep spray is used on damp clean hair to detangle and prime. The thing I love about this product is that it can also be used on dry hair to reactivate the products that you have already used to style your hair.
Garnier's Micellar Cleansing Water is an all in one cleansing product. It removes makeup, and cleanses skin. This is a unique product that I have had amazing results with. This product takes off my eye makeup with ease, and I use a lot of products that I normally find difficult to get off. The Micellar Water comes in a generously sized container and for twenty-five dollars this product is well worth the money.
Benefit's Total Moisture cream is the perfect gift to get your loved ones skin through the winter months. This moisturizer is a thicker formula, and provides excellent hydration for the skin.

Finally, if you are looking for a luxury/sparkly gift for your beauty lover, Benefit's They're Real Mascara in a limited edition packaging is the right choice. This mascara tube is encrusted with Swarovski crystals, and quite frankly, is the most gorgeous product I have seen this year.

It's Getting Cold.....

Hello Gorgeous!
Happy Monday! I had so much fun shooting some holiday looks this weekend that I had to post this one a bit early. Karina Dresses have to be my go to dresses for work, going out and everything in between. This crimson Maggie style is perfection. The silhouette is so flattering and the wrap style, which I have tied to the back makes your waist line look teeny -tiny. I love this faux fur stole, the grey really compliments this dress. Head to Karina now to shop this dress!
